" THE SUNSHINE FESTIVAL"
While working with BONNIE BRAMLETT, we were booked into the
Diamond Head Crater "SUNSHINE FESTIVAL" January 1, 1974
on the bill: DAVID "KUNG FU" CARRADINE with his band, which included actress BARBARA HERSHEY, drummer DEWEY MARTIN of the Buffalo Springfield, and DAVE PEARLMAN, pedal steel guitarist for such acts as Dan Fogelburg, and the Righteous Brothers.
RAMBLIN' JACK ELLIOTT, and a new band called JOURNEY
plus several local acts from Honolulu.
The trip was both exciting and exhausting...unaware that this would become my home just under a year later .
